Journey To Elf Lands - GETTING THERE

Recommended transportation: Anything without engines. Walking, bicycle, horse-back or horse-drawn carriage are all fine. Engine powered vehicles will fail as one approaches the Elfin Forests.
brutess3-595h.jpg The most comfortable, practical, easy-to-use and fun transportation however, is the velomobile, like these to the left. A little fun and frivolity before going is great. Elves and Fae respond well to hearts of innocence and fun.
Bring gifts of nature or minimally processed food. Whole milk, fruits, vegetables, or, pretty things like glass-works, silver, sea-shells, stones, or something you make, especially if while making it, the intent of giving it to an Elf was in your heart.

carbike-tulips Elfin magic emanates from the Elfin Forests "proper" like a signal from a broadcast. As Elfin Forests are approached, unusual and nice conditions are encountered.
Here we see a road for human-powered-vehicles only, near a huge field of tulips that grow year around, despite freezing winter temperatures.

DaleMarycarbike-small.jpg At this point, a car, motorcycle or anything engine powered, mysteriously begins to give problems. Pushing closer to Elfin Forests with such vehicles causes the problems to increase, until they are just not useful.

These folks have the right idea; go human-powered. And the best of all, use velomobiles.

This tour-group is getting ready to approach and enter the Elfin Forests.

On the way to the Elfin Forests!

See ya there!

velomobiles03

A velomobile makes it convenient to carry a lot of stuff.

Their enclosed bodies are excellent for the sometimes cold Elfin Forests.

velomobiles01 A bunch of velomobiles are parked at a rest-stop, at a point very close to Elfin Forests. At this point, internal combustion engines refuse to start. From here on, it's velomobile, bicycle or walking.

velomobiles02 This is a town just ten miles from the Entrance of Elfin Forests. They sparingly use electricity, for the only sources that work are solar panels, thermal-solar (like, for hot water), wind-generators, or where there is moving water, "micro"-hydroelectric.

The town has several bicycle and velomobile shops.

Elves occasionally materialize into physical here.
